Mississippi's Top 50 Most Influential
During his time as chairman of the Mississippi Republican Party, Arnie Hederman saw the Mississippi Legislature gain a GOP majority for the first time in 140 years while also gaining control of 7 of the 8 statewide offices. His time with the campaigns of former Gov. Haley Barbour and presidential nominee Bob Dole helped Arnie gain valuable experience which he turned into a positive for the Republican Party in 2011.
Today, Hederman works as a partner in the Clearwater Group focused on government affairs, lobbying, political consulting and more. He can be found around the Capitol pushing legislation each spring.
During this presidential cycle, Hederman was the state chairman for Marco Rubio’s presidential campaign. His influence and contacts are widely recognized, making Hederman one of a handful of political operatives frequently called upon when policies or campaigns need a nudge.
Mississippi Top 50 is an annual list of the people who are judged to be the most influential leaders in the state. This bipartisan selection of leaders comes from the ranks of elected and appointed officials, economic development professionals, business, media and government affairs. The awards are sponsored by Y’all Politics and Supertalk Mississippi and awardees were nominated through an open process.
