Mississippi's Top 50 Most Influential
Justin Brasell is one of the most successful campaign operatives in the country working from right here in Mississippi. From running campaigns as a general consultant to running SuperPACs, he has had an enormous track record of success with his firm Triumph Campaigns.
Though his name doesn’t make the papers much in Mississippi, he has worked wonders in the Magnolia State. He was brought in during the 2011 Lt. Governor’s race to help Tate Reeves win a tough contest and is still with him today. He’s helped numerous legislative and judicial candidates here as well.
His resume nationally is sparkling. He started his career for Rep. Congressman Geoff Davis in 2004 and then followed him to DC to serve as his Chief of Staff for two years. He then managed Mitch McConnell’s race in 2008, John Thune’s race in 2010, and Tom Cotton’s race in 2014. He’s currently engaged in the wild Louisiana Senate race on behalf of Rep. Charles Boustany.
In 2013, he was named to Campaigns & Elections Influencers 500, recognizing the political influencers in each state.
Mississippi Top 50 is an annual list of the people who are judged to be the most influential leaders in the state. This bipartisan selection of leaders comes from the ranks of elected and appointed officials, economic development professionals, business, media and government affairs. The awards are sponsored by Y’all Politics and Supertalk Mississippi and awardees were nominated through an open process.
