Mississippi's Top 50 Most Influential

Derek Easley literally keeps the scorecard on Mississippi legislators.  He is currently the President and CEO of the Business and Industry Political Education Committee (BIPEC), which has a long history of having a significant public policy influence in the Mississippi Legislature.  BIPEC is the non-partisan unifying organization for 30+ trade/professional associations in Mississippi, and its annual scorecard rating on how just pro-business legislators are in their voting record is one of the most sought after distinctions by office holders.  During an election year the designation of “BIPEC Recommended” is touted by candidates looking to distinguish themselves as the pro-business candidate.

Easley previously served in Governmental Affairs with the Mississippi Association of REALTORS.   Prior to that, Easley served as a Governmental Affairs advisor at Adams and Reese, and also has served as Director of Environmental and Taxation Affairs of the Mississippi Manufacturers Association.
