Road builders in Mississippi scored a major win with a historic legislative victory in the special legislative session in 2018, and Mike Pepper was one of the key voices in the Capitol to make it happen.

Mike is Executive Director of Mississippi Road Builders’ Association and has served in this role since 2008 after several years of executive association leadership and an extensive background in governmental affairs. Working on behalf of the state’s road and bridge contractors and companies that support the construction industry, Mike handles the day to day administration activities of the association and its staff. His main role is being the liaison of the membership to the State Legislature and Federal Congress, state and federal agencies, and other organizations supporting a safe, efficient transportation system.

Mike is a past-president and now vice president of Mississippi Society of Association Executives, past chairman and serves on the Council of State Executives for ARTBA (American Road and Transportation Builders Association), past board member of ARTBA, board member of BIPEC (Business and Industry Political Committee), the MS Construction Education Foundation, TRIP (The Road Information Program ) and the Mississippi Transportation Institute, committee chairman and member of the Rotary Club of Jackson and past board member of the Central Chapter of the Mississippi State University Alumni Association.

Mike has a Bachelors of Science from Mississippi State University and a Masters of Science from Purdue University.
