With over 35 years in the advocacy in the public policy realm, Joe Sims has seen a lot of political cycles. And, throughout his extensive government relations career, he has proven to be a strong and effective advocate for his clients.
Joe Sims is a Senior Vice President with Cornerstone Government Affairs. While having a wealth of experience providing public and government affairs representation in the energy arena, he now helps lead a diverse group of clients at Cornerstone.
Prior to forming his firm, Pinnacle Consulting in 2007, he managed the US Oil and Gas Association, Mississippi/Alabama Division, in the state. The association’s membership is comprised of a cross-section of energy companies.
He served as legislative chairman for Mississippians for Economic Progress (MFEP) during the historic 2002 Mississippi Special Legislative Session on tort reform. MFEP was a coalition of business, industry, and medical interests advocating for civil justice reform.
