Mississippi's Top 50 Most Influential

Lesley A. Davis serves as Mississippi’s RNC Committeewoman, Vice-Chair of the Mississippi Republican Party, and the Founder and President of Mississippi Advocacy Group, a public policy and government affairs firm which champions the renewal and strengthening of our cultural institutions. She has a 25-year record of advancing religious liberty, pro-life, and pro-woman/child/family policies in Maryland, D.C., and Mississippi. She previously served as the Interim President of the Mississippi Center for Public Policy. 

She serves as a policy resource and support to lawmakers and has a strong ability to build trusted relationships and coalitions, particularly among conservative and faith-based communities, in order to help advance legislation. Some successful legislative campaigns include key pro-life bills, the Fairness Act, the SAFER Act Mississippi’s state flag change, the Pregnancy Resource Act, the REAP Act, adoption and foster care reforms, and the Safe Haven Baby Box law. 

As a product of Lesley’s service in the Mississippi policy realm, she has received the following honors: the Heritage Foundation’s 2025 national Doer’s award, a 2024 Top 50 Most Influential Mississippians, a 2023 Rankin County Republican Woman Leader of the year, the MFRW Certificate of Recognition for legislative work, the first ever Superwoman Award from the MFRW Legislative Committee, and the sole national 2022 Delta Gamma Leadership Shield Award.  

She is a graduate of Mississippi State University and the University of Baltimore School of Law. She served as a law clerk and associate prosecuting attorney for Judge Arlin M. Adams, U.S. Office of Independent Counsel in Washington D.C. She continued her career as a partner in a Baltimore law firm, with a focus on toxic tort and medical malpractice defense litigation. 

Lesley lives in Flowood with her husband, John. They have three grown sons, Jack, Charlie, and Will. She shares this recognition with her family, her trusted team and coalition, and the courageous lawmakers she has been honored to work with.
