Christopher M. Bell, Representative, Mississippi House District 65, has served in the legislature since 2016. As a servant leader, he is dedicated to enhancing the social, cultural, and political fabric within Mississippi and improving the quality of life for citizens throughout the state.

Currently, he serves as the Chair of the Mississippi Legislative Black Caucus, which champions issues that affect all Mississippians, especially those of colors, those who are disadvantaged, and those in rural communities, and on the Executive Committee of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators.

In addition to his appointment to several legislative committees for the Mississippi House of Representatives, which include Insurance, Public Health, Energy, and Banking and Financial Services, Representative Bell serves as Vice Chair of the Drug Policy Committee. 

Chris has spent a lifetime acquiring experience around passionate and purposeful people strategy, cumulating in the launch of Chris Bell Allstate Insurance Company 2005 and The Bell Group LLC in 2011. Through his experience and education, Chris has developed a keen sense of marketing and sales expertise.

Chris continues to build a strong contact network, and he holds active memberships in a variety of professional, extracurricular, and community organizations. Currently, he serves as the Board President of the Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health and is a former trustee for the Board of Trustees of Leadership Greater Jackson. As a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Chris is actively involved in the Epsilon Kappa Kappa Chapter through which he continues his service to his community. Chris earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Jackson State University.  He attends Anderson United Methodist Church in Jackson.
