Wolverton, a native of Starkville, was most recently the military legislative assistant and senior policy advisor to Senator Thad Cochran, for whom he worked since 2009 in a variety of legislative and political capacities, including Cochran’s 2014 reelection campaign.  His legislative portfolio was focused on national defense, homeland security, unmanned systems, disaster recovery, information technology, and economic development.
