Mississippi's Top 50 Most Influential
State Senator Brice Wiggins has represented District 52 since 2012. During this time, Wiggins has established himself as a leader in the Mississippi Senate, named Chairman of Judiciary B and Vice-Chairman of Appropriations by Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann at the start of his third term in 2020.
Wiggins authored Mississippi’s first foray into early education, the Early Learning Collaborative Act of 2013. This legislation as led directly to Mississippi being recognized as Top 5 in the country in early education and is part of Mississippi’s education reform successes that have garnered national recognition. He has also championed criminal justice reform legislation each legislative session, strengthening laws against violent offenders and providing a beginning for the reform’s criminal justice system.
Wiggins has his own law practice, Wiggins Law, PLLC, which he founded in 2011 and handles courtroom litigation, family law, wills, estates, trusts, corporate law, trucking litigation, criminal matters, and municipal court matters.
Mississippi Top 50 is an annual list of the people who are judged to be the most influential leaders in the state. This bipartisan selection of leaders comes from the ranks of elected and appointed officials, economic development professionals, business, media and government affairs.
