Mississippi's Top 50 Most Influential

In addition to being a respected business adviser, Barry Cannada is active as an entrepreneur, financier and non-profit board member.

Barry Cannada currently serves as a member, and Vice Chair of Legal and Consulting Services of Butler Snow LLP, a law firm based in Jackson, Mississippi, now operating out of 26 offices in the U.S., U.K., Singapore and Hong Kong. Barry has been with the firm since 1981 and focuses his practice on mergers, acquisitions, capital formation, private placements, private equity investments, joint ventures, licensing and financing.

Barry serves in a managerial role or on boards for several businesses. Among those businesses, he serves as President of G&S Holdings, LLC, a private entity operating a substantial capital goods business in 7 states through it’s two primary business subsidiaries, Stribling Equipment, LLC and Empire Truck Sales LLC. In addition, Barry holds various positions of management and ownership in a group of companies focused on the restaurant business in several states including Mississippi. In that group of companies he currently serves as Director, President and/or Co-Managing Principal for Mississippi Restaurant Group, LLC, Mississippi Franchise Development Group, LLC, Salsarita’s Holdings, LLC, Salsarita’s Restaurants, LLC and Salsarita’s Franchise LLC.

 Additionally Barry serves on various boards of non-profit organizations. That would include his service as Chairman and Director for a large faith based non-profit organization which would encompass Campus Crusade for Christ, Inc.; Campus Crusade for Christ, International, Inc., Cru Global, Inc., Cru Inc.; The Great Commission Foundation, Inc. and Here’s Life International Inc. (where he serves as President). His focus on non-profit organizations extends to organizations that are dedicated to economic development in his home state. That would include Mississippi Energy Institute, Inc. where he serves as its Chairman and Innovated Mississippi, Inc. where he serves as a director.
