Jason Dean is someone you might call a “policy entrepreneur”. He has made his mark on Mississippi business and government over the last decade like few others, making him a valued education and economic policy advisor to state leaders and legislators.
Dean currently serves as Vice President of Program Development at the rapidly-growing Tenax Aerospace and is a member of the Mississippi State Board of Education. He previously served as the Managing Director for The Aerospace Alliance and President of Highland Advisors and Fidelis Policy Group.
On the policy scene is where he excels most and has helped organize groups/associations such as the Mississippi Energy Institute, Mississippi Broadband Connect Coalition, and the Aerospace Alliance. He also formerly served on the Board of Midtown Public Charter School in Jackson. Until recently he was on the State Workforce Investment Board, the Mississippi Telehealth Association, and MS BIO as a Board Member. With his Ph.D. in Education, he has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Ole Miss, Southern Miss, and Jackson State.
Dean, a former White House Fellow, served as a policy advisor to former Governor Haley Barbour and as Vice President of the Mississippi Economic Council. He has also served as Assistant Dean of Students at the University of Mississippi.
